spec stage 2 clutch
new slave cylinder
NO play in the clutch linkage
SS Braided clutch line

a couple days ago coming home i went to downshift and it was like the clutch wasn't down. since i was almost home i shoved it into 2nd and drove it the rest of the way home.

got home popped the hood and the master was empty. no fluid obvious anywhere but since the slave was new i figured it had to be the master cylinder.

put on the master from my parts car that hasn't been down long. only difference was that the old master was about 1/4 inch from the end of the rod and the new one is cranked out a bit further. i thought okay ill put it in see what it does then adjust it.

bled it out good with a friend. pumped the clutch 4-5 times then held it in and opened the bleeder. then closed it, pulled the clutch up and made sure the master was still full. did this about 8 times.

i did all that stuff last night and when i was done the clutch worked but made a rubbing noise if i pressed it down the whole way to the floor. so i turned the push rod in a bit thinking that would help but now it doesn't work at all. the pedal is hard so i don't think there's air in the system but it doesn't disengage at all. what should i check next? i know theres a lot of clutch threads already but i searched for a couple hours last night and couldn't find any with this problem (hard pedal but the clutch doesn't work)

i can push the slave in at the trans. pushing towards the drivers side. i cant push it at all towards the the pass side but i think thats normal since thats trying to push in the pressure plate.

update: i pulled the trans off today and found that one of the springs in the disc was poped out and jammed between the pressureplate and disc caused it to be engaged all the time.
