replacing 1-2 syncros on 95 gst q's?

i was wondering if first and second gear are removable from the intermediat shaft without distroying the bearing. i know on my 96 awd i had to ruin a bearing to get a gear set off just can't remember which one.

the car is a 95 gst. i don't want to make my order before i know if i need the bearings or not.

Its always a good idea to replace the bearings as well, cheap insurance for what $10?

dont save them, buy new ones. get them chrome plated to add bling to the engine compartment as well..........that last part was obviously a joke.

yeah just new bearings usually take more work to shim from what i hear.
