I just put BG synchroshift in my transmission and what a difference
it made, now I'm going to install a symborski shift kit and see if it
makes a difference.
Has anybody ever installed this kit and did it make a difference.

I put it in my 1G. Absolutely love it. Makes shifts more direct. I probably felt the difference more than others because the base plate bushings I had were all torn up and worn real bad.

I installed the kit in my 1G. It did help some but honestly I was expecting more. Later I added a short 2G knob and that helped even more. I've got a few quarts of Synchromesh waiting to go in my tranny and I'm hoping together with the first two mods it will improve even more...at least until I can afford the tranny I want hehe.

B G Synchroshift is transmission oil ,it works very well in my opinion,
it is expensive but worth it.Ihave a 98 GSX, I used the synchroshift, and
a symborsky shift kit and found the results to be very worthwhile,
both items are available at ( Mach V .com ) I haven't seen them on
DSM tuners.

Hey yall try GM syncromesh? :) I had BG in my 171,000 mile original tranny and it worked great. :) But the price is kinda high. I just put in some GM syncromesh and i tell ya its workin just as good. ;) only $10 a quart too. ;) try it if your on a budget. :D

I just put BG in and it cost me 12 a quart. I think the extra 2 bucks a quart was worth it IMO

Half the improvement for some people is just putting in new fluid. That being said I thought the synchromesh was easily worth the money. I have no idea about how the previous owner of my DSM treated or maintained it, so I'm assuming all the fluids need replacing.

i just put in the symborski kit yesterday (1g)... you will have to take off the whole console because 3 of the 4 bolts are blocked but it is not too bad... took me about 2 hrs. The difference is not noticable at first but once you start driving for a little while you will notice how smooth it is. (thats how it was for me anyways)

where are you guys getting this stuff from? a website please

Dang i can only get it at $16.50 a quart thats why i went with GM syncromesh at $8 a quart. Were do ya get BG at that price? OMG

I put BG in my tranny and it made a world of difference. Car now shifts like new.

Most shops who sponsor DSMtuners are around 12 a quart.

Try Penzoil syncromesh. It's at Auto Zone and it's new. I used to use the GM Syncromesh and can tell no difference between the two. I've used both and they both work excellent. Best of all the Penzoil is $5/quart!! -MIKE
