what brands and kinds of shift kits are out there for my car. (see sig) i need to get one because there is too much delay in between shifts and i know this is horrable for the transmission.

what one has the quickest and firmest shifts?

from a ppost in an earlier thread.

I just ordered one for my car, a Translab shift kit and an Alto end clutch to go along with my Level Ten transmission kit. The shift kit shifts the car like a trigger, popping into gear so it's crisper and faster shifting almost like a manual. The end clutch is just for od and it's a good idea to get done. Usually even though it's not on their site you get the kit from www.dunrite-convertors.com. They have been relocating and for over 2 months and I've been trying to get the kit. I did a search and ended up at plymouthlaser.com and e-mailed the owner Charles who unfortunately ran out of kit. He did though give me the info of the guy who makes the kits. They are $75 for the Translab and $75 for the Alto end clutch. Shipping is included in both prices.

Thanks for the replys!!!

can i get the translab kit from a transmision shop? i am going to have a shop do this cuz im not sure if i have the tools to do the job and i have no expirence with an auto.

i dont think i am going to go as far as getting a torque converter. im not got to mod this car that much but i do want quick firm shifts. so to do that all i need is this translab shift kit?

thanks again!

These TransLab kits everyone is talking about may only be available for the km mitsu tranny, not the 420A. I just don't want you to end up with the wrong kit, that would suck. If TransLab doesn't make one for the 420A, you can also look into TransGo. There is a company I found that sells both of these kits for my tranny, but I don't have the link on this computer. Email me [email protected] and I will reply with the link next monday.

im just going to take it to the shop and have them do it. whatever kit i get whats a reasonable price to pay for the kit and installation???
