I just got my trans back in my car and upon startup there was a horrible banging noise coming from under the hood. Also, the wheels were turning even though the car was in "neutral" (front wheels were off the ground...thank God!). I just finished installing a new clutch, sbr lsd, slave, fork, ss line, and motor mounts. Anyone have any ideas here? It's getting towed to the shop Tuesday pretty much regardless, but if there's something I can fix I wanna know. Thanks!

I still don't get why the car would be trying to move forward though.

The poster is in Illinois. Odds are it was cold. Cold oil in the tranny will transfer power, without needing to go through the "normal" route. Hence, the fronts turn when off the ground, even when the car is not in gear.

No big.
