FWD LSD: Insert or Real Deal?

Just a topic I would like some input on, I want a lsd for my 2g GST. Now should I buy the real thing Kazz/Quaife or just run next season on a insert and buy a Kazz/Quaife next winter? What would be the down side to the insert even if it's only going to be for 5 months? Any good input would be great thanks.

don't quote me on this but most LSDs by nature will already add understeer properties by design (depending on type), though that effect is much higher when using an insert because it is not as dynamic as a 'traditional' LSD because it is constantly trying to keep both wheels spinning _at_the_same_rate_, reducing the effectiveness of a differential in the first place.

Basically an insert's purpose is to counteract the effect of a differential.

And if you are unfamiliar, a differential's purpose is to allow the two wheels to turn at different speeds.

If you just drag, then run your insert. If you auto-x or circuit race, you will hate your life forever. *IMO*
