Okie here is my issue, I got one 99 GSX (5spd) with a bad motor. and a 97 GS-T (auto) with a bad tranny. I wanted the GSX to run so i sent both to my friends job and he was going to pull motor from GS-T and toss it into GSX. I didnt do anything to the GS-T i got it for free from someone so duno what motor or anything about the car.

My problem, He calledme up and said my flywheel (from GSX) will not bolt up the holes dont match the ones on the motor (from GS-T).. my 1st guess is okie then it's a 6bolt in the GS-T....right? if so do i need a 6bolt tranny? or just a 6 bolt fly wheel?

Thanks for the help!

The flywheel from a 6bolt and 7bolt are different. If the motor is a 6bolt, You need a 6bolt flywheel. I have also heard the same applies with fwd and awd cars pertaining to the flywheel being different. But do not hold that to me, As I don't want to spread incorrect information.
