Hi my rear diff that just got rebuilt is starting to leak from the left and right side of it.Other then that its fine. Can it be possible that it was over filled with fliud.I put about 64 ounces in it.Thanks

yeah you overfilled it alright, but how?? you can only fill it up until it starts coming out of the fill hole. Also check your axle seals and make sure they arent ripped up because you could be leaking from them also

I think i found out where the leak was coming from.I rechecked the filler bolt and the guy never put the washer back on it.The same thing also happened to me when i got my oil changed. :coy:

after a rebuild there is always a bit of seepage because everything is new, needs to be broken in, if after a week u still have puddles then u have a problem. till then just keep an eye of the fluid level. ;)
