Hey guys, I have a serious issue here..
Just to clue you guys in on my situation, my transmission completely annihilated itself about 6 months ago (killing the T-case and bending the passenger side axle in the process)
Anywho, I had shep build up a new trans for me and had a local place rebuild my T-Case. The shop I had do all of the swapping for me, replaced the axle when all of this happened.
After driving on the (first) new axle for about 1000 miles, it has started to vibrate VERY badly between 50-60mph.... not even noticable going slower or faster than that. The car drove normally for about 500 miles and then slowly got worse and worse. (also, it was only noticable while trying to maintain a speed between 50-60, it wasnt noticable if you were accelerating or slowing down through that speed)
We'll, I had the shop replace that same axle again about a month ago, now after driving it for several hundred miles, it is starting to vibrate again. Just like the first time, it is slowly getting worse and worse. What could this possibly be? I think this shop is somewhat clueless too... because they want to replace that same axle again while replacing the driver side aswell this go around.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what else this could be? I dont want to replace axles every thousand miles.
Thanks in advance.
