Tranny ? 6 bolt in 2g....

Ok guys my 7bolt motor just blew so I have a 6bolt lined up to put it in but I have a few ?'s first. My car is a fwd tsi and the motor is from an AWD, is this possible to swap for of all? I need to get a different flywheel right? What all is necessary for the swap? Thanks in advance

You need a 6 bolt fwd flywheel.

And the 6bolt flywheel will bolt up to my 2g tranny, right. And thats all I need as far as tranny needs, is the 6bolt flywheel? Thanks again

flywheels bolt to the motor not the tranny. So yes your 6 bolt flywheel will bolt right up to a 6 bolt motor. You need the starter plate from your 2g. That is the plate that goes between the tranny and the motor and the starter bolts on to.
