congrats. I remember the first time I R&R'd a tranny to do my clutch. It took me a lot longer than that. I've only got 2 areas of concern that I will lend some advice and an opinion tho.

1. I would have definitely invested in an a/t spacer plate and longer A/T flywheel bolts. They give you more "bite" with the threads going into the crank, and also the spacer plate protects your aluminum flywheel from getting chewed up by the bolts.

2. I would have also used a full face street disc instead of that 3 puck. It's a sprung hub, but still. Unless you are building some 9 sec. monster, the full face disc is going to make daily driving a LOT easier.

In either case, congrats on getting the job done yourself. It's very fulfilling knowing you did the work yourself, not to mention all the money you saved from taking it to a mechanic/shop.

it was for a 'built' car, and the guy didnt want it anymore and didnt tell me it was a 3 puck. i drove 2hrs and seen it was a 3 puck so i said whatever and got it. my only problem right now is that when the clutch is in, and in 1st, i rev to about 3k, and it rolls forward. shift linkage is good, i bled the clutch about 3 times and still having issues. i have yet to adjust the master cylinder rod yet, and my bleeding of the clutch may not be sufficent. Ill try a few more things and get back to you on this. And yes, no shop for me :) I wanted to learn how to do it myself.

i adjusted the master cylinder rod, and now shifts good, but its really notchy and feels weird. is it possible to maybe bent the linkage on the tranny? i know that i didnt bend them when i transported/installed the tranny but i think that maybe the uninstall from the other car maybe did something. I noticed I dont have 5th or reverse :(

No 5th or Reverse means you have the wrong shift cable bracket on the tranny, and/or the wrong year cables. Whatever year transmission you have, you must use the shifter base, shifter, shift cables, and the little bracket that mounts to the tranny from that year. The years break down as such: 91-94 tranny in a 1990, MUST use all above hardware.
