plano,
Im pretty new to the great world of DSM's but im learning quickly coming from knowing little about turbo's to alot more then i thought id figure out w/ just reading. I own a bronco and am quite mechanically enclined but have a few questions. Is a FWD to AWD conversion possible on a 1g (1991) turbo? I know i would need to get a transfercase, but would i need a new transmission too? I have never seen the underworkings of a awd post links to pics if u have some. Is there just a driveshaft running to the rear independent suspension? if so i was wondering if i could do ifs in the front and then run a driveshaft straight into a rear live axle instead of independent for simplicity? and then put locking hubs on the axle so i can detach the driveshaft and make the tires "free" in the rear and be fwd again to save gas. Im a 4wd guy so if any of u have questions on what im talkin about ill answer.
disregard my 2nd question if the conversion is impossible
and my other question is what is the difference between the awd and fwd gen1 (91') exhaust kits? im going to be doing a full exhaust upgrade..o2,downpipe,cat,muffler,pipes-all 3" i was curios if a awd set up would go on a fwd or if it would need modding. or if fwd will work on an awd.
thanks -Rem 91' talon turbo tsi-stock?
