I'm getting ready to do the auto>manual swap, and i've got a few questions. Do the shift linkage have to come out of the exact same year car I have, or could I say, get it out of a 96 or 98? The same for the shifter cables. Also, the pedal assembly would be the same in a Galant, wouldn't it? Thanks...

im 99% sure that the trannies in the 2g dsms are the same, but im not so sure about the pedal assembly from a galant. can anyone else confirm this? im guessing no, but i could be wrong.

So does this mean the length of the linkage rods are all the exact same in length?

i dont see any reason why they wouldnt be... it's not like the cars got changed mechanically over these years. i just noticed you are a spyder n/a... what car did your tranny come out of? is it also a n/a spyder?

It came out of a 4g64 Galant, just as the engine did. My only concerns were if there was any actual length differences.
