I have a 97 Eclipse GS-T auto. Ocassionally, I'll be accelerating from a stoplight or onto the freeway, and as the car is speeding up I'll hear the turbo begin to spool up, and car will reach 30 or 40 mph, and it will stop accelerating. The turbo will continue to spool like crazy (almost reaching the top of the stock turbo gauge, I'm not sure how much psi that is), but the car refuses to accelerate, almost like it wont shift up. Sometimes is does this and some days it runs fine, but it's annoying as hell. Does this sound like a problem with my tranny or a turbo leak?

I don't have an auto, but I did have a turbo leak. A turbo leak makes the engine run crappy, not just a loss of power. I think I read somewhere that the auto trans is supposed to shift in to top gear at about 35- 40 mph?
