SAVANNAH,
I just got a 1994 ECLPISE GS 2.2 fwd TURBO with a 5-speed. I need to change the tranny fluid, but I do not know what type of fluid to put in??

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks LARRY

Either GM Syncromesh or BG Syncroshift; they both work well in DSM's. You can get the GM fluid at any GM dealership parts dept.

... and BTW, it's a 2.0L, not 2.2

Good luck, welcome to the forum.

No that is a gear oil used for your transfer and or R diff and such. The tranny calls for GL-4 hypoid oils.... Make sure if you get something other than what everyone recommended (you really should do yourself a favor and get some syncroshift...) make sure you dont get the wrong fluid as substantial wear can occur :thumb:

I know I was just trying to change his mind from wal mart brand.... meaning he really should reconsider and get some sycroshift or something =)

Whyz dat? I got's my Sams Choice BOV, and Walton FMIC from the clearance rack. They just rolled back the price on their equate fuel injectors, so I go them on layaway!!

Bwahahah

Seriously though Packin, just go over to the local GM dealership and purchase some syncormesh.

We use Synergyn, so far so good. We have used BG in the past, and have found the Synergyn to be better.

It's kind of like mixing BG and Redline. You get the protection of BG, with the good shifting of Redline.

Some have said it makes shifting firmer. Our customers are happy with it, so we will continue to sell it.
