Whenever I slip the clutch in 1st to start moving from a complete stop, the clutch (or something) makes a clicking or clunking noise. It only happens when accelerating in 1st and only when im slipping the clutch. Other than that, everything is normal. It sounds like something is binding and hitting something else, its hard to describe. Seems to be getting a little worse, I was thinking it may have to do with my clutch getting close to wearing out. Tried searching but nothing like this came up.

Hey

Yeah i'm haveing the same problem!! i have a 90 laser with a 92 talon tranny clutch ect

When i take off in 1st it does the same thing,, i hear a click coming from under the hood!! i think it is my front motor mount! but i can't be under the hood and driveing the car at the same time,, so it is hard to tell where it is comming from!

Hey,

Hope you guys have already resolved this problem. I recently had the same issue with my 1g. Clicking noise upon slipping clutch in 1st gear. I ended up taking it to Extreme motorsports for diagnosis and it turned out to be the clutch inspection cover hitting on something that rotates. Thus the clicking... at least thats what they told me. In any case, they adjusted the cover and the clicking is completely gone! Good luck.

Hey, I assume the clicking noise is no longer a problem, since you recently installed a new clutch/flywheel/etc.

Yeah, hasn't done it with the new clutch/flywheel/throwout bearing/clutch fork/fulcrum ball installation. Had to be one of those, dunno which.:dsm:
