Popping like popcorn

I get this strange popping sound from where my tranny is when ever I drive over a bump or when the car bounces. I have a 4 puck clutch, and before you guys start bashing on my clutch, I do realize things WILL break. Im just wondering what might make that popping sound, Someone suggested to check for the front half shafts and make sure that the mid point bolts are secure. Any Other suggestions?

Popping noise?? Humm, I've never own a 4 puck.. I don't know if they are noisy and all.. But when I had my 2600 ACT with a street disc shifted into third hard and my trans sound like someone is step all over packing peanuts. And the car would shake in that one gear. If this is the case sounds like you broke some gears. Sorry if that the case.

I just got a new clutch, along with master and slave, I am getting the same sound, whenever i hit a bump or go over a speed bump, i got a popping noise? kinda want to know what it is....

I hope its not that. My mechanic told me if it ever slips out of 5th bring it to him immediately(mechanic specializes in DSM). But none of that .... so far. Just a popping sound when starting off in 1st, or hitting a bump. I haven't heard it too much lately. Maybe it fell off
