ok so i was on my way home and i was in 2nd and as it hit 3grand i was going to shift so i put the clutch in but when i go to put it into 3rd it wouldnt go, i try again and still wont go in.

So i try to put it into 2nd but it just grinded and my foot was still on the clutch so i slowly let off the clutch and it didnt come up.

So im like f' it ill just cost it, so i come up to the stop sign pull the clutch up with my foot push it back down and i hardly pushed on the cluthc and it just fell to the floor.

I turn the car off, pull the clutch up with my foot, start it up and it flet like it was suppose to, so i put it in first and start going go, shift into 2nd and the same thing happend.

Started to grind in 2nd but not the rest of them, turn off the car start it up but this time it would not go into any of the gears (im at the end of the my drive way so i dont have to worry about any cars.)

So this brings me to my question what could be the problem? I read about this guy having the same problem that i am having and they said to try to bleed it so he did but that didnt work and than they go on to say it might be the master or slave cylinder could that be one problem? But that was in the worng forum so i hope putting it in the right forum might help more. I dont see any trans fluid leaking. And it doesnt help that when ever you spend the money you have something goes worng cuz i just bought a exhaust system and how i have no money  .

P.S. how much do you think it will coast to fix it? Can someone please give me a diragram (sp) of where they are located at?

Thanks
Matt

it's either the master, the slave, or a hole in a clutch line for some reason. It could also be the fork coming off of the pivot ball, however I'd check clutch hydraulics first since it worked again at 1 point after it first happened.

is it an after market clutch or the stock clutch? had you been driving it hard before this happend? I ask this because that could make a differance on how to proceed. As was stated above check your clutch master and see if you have it full. If it is full take a look under the car and make sure the shaft is engaging the clutch fork. If all that is happening right I would just try adjusting the clutch pedal under the dash. The vfaq has good info on how to do all those things and if that is all it is, it is free!
