OBX Short Shifter

Does any one have a 1gen OBX shifter installed on there clipse, is it worth the money and does it seem to help your shifts? I'm thinking about getting one off EBAY.

I haven't put one in yet, I actually just purchased one from ebay a few weeks ago, if you find a cheap one from "ready set go motorsports", don't get it from them. They take forever to ship it, and when they finally did, they sent me one that was all jacked up and not "new in box" like they said, and it looked used and as if someone made this themselves...there were also complaints about it from another guy who i talked to, who spoke with OBX, that it was a knock-off. I just had to tell you that, in case you decide to look on ebay. I'm still waiting for them to return a new one back to me.

I bought one of the 2g ones and after a month I snapped it in half shifting into 3rd. I had to get it rewelded. Don't know if the 1G's are any better look at the welds.

Is it me or does that shifter look alot like the Fidanza shifter?

Either way I've heard of people damanging there trannys with those type of shifters due to the units not having the proper rubber shift stopper. You sorta overshift and its hard on the forks.

If the shifter does look like the pictures I found on ebay, you might want to fab up some type of stoppers for it.
