JDM (EVO) LSD Converstion Possible?

Would and could it be possible to interchange the front lsd of a 2g talon with the front lsd from an evo 1/2/3 or maybe even an evo8, if so whats involved and if not, why?

Front LSD? All DSM's have an open carrier up front, unless aftermarket. I would assume that you mean can you replace the carrier with a EVO LSD.

Centre diffs are interchangeable between Evo I/II/III and DSMs.

The rear Evo I/II/III LSDs also fit DSMs, but require DSM non-LSD rear axle joints.

Edit: I am 90% sure the front diffs interchange as well, but I'm not actually running an Evo front diff, unlike the other 2.

Since I already have the factory lsd in the rear I was thinking about swapping the front lsd and center lsd onto my 2gawd talon.

If memory serves me right the evo's LSD is a 1.5 way clutch type, like the Kaaz. It has a certain amount of preload on the clutches all the time, but the more acceleration power you put into it, the harder it clamps the clutches. If you're off the gas it's looser. If you're on the gas it's tighter.

The only complication that I have arisen through my searching is if their would have to be some shaft moddifications for this upgrade to work.

It would be nice to have three mitsu factory lsd's in the car . Anybody else have info?
