clutch adjustment / no grab

Everytime I floor the car at 18 psi or more and it's making decent power I push the clutch and shift it really fast but it seems to just slip because the car doesn't accelerate yet the rpms are going up after the shift. This is an act 2600 ( 5k on it ) with a built scm61'd 6 bolt motor in a 2g. I don't think I'm outpowering the clutch yet so it must be a simple adjustment issue. In a case like this does that mean the engagement point is too high or too low? For normal driving it feels fine and for wot runs in just 1 gear it doesn't slip at all, just right after the shift. Any tips or suggestions on how to take care of this? Thanks.

I would adjust the loading/engagement point and see if it makes a difference. It seems like the clutch pedal is set too high. Try lowering it to the point where it will engage and disengage freely without grinding during normal shifting.

maybe you could explain the physics behind a hydraulic clutch to me please? I realize fluid pressure is used to push the rod out of the slave cylinder pushing the clutch fork / tob against the pressure plate of the clutch. Well the further up the pedal is the harder the fluid will be forced through so the better the shifting since you have a greater distance to push the fluid? At least that's how I always looked at it. Maybe if you explain the reasoning behind the peddle being set too high causing problems I will understand this whole situation better? Thanks for helping me out.
