multi-plate clutches

at what point will these become necessary? and when a clutch kit says it handles 170% over stock how much is that, what can stock handle and how durable are they when you dont do a lot of manual drop outs, will they last as long as a stock cars clutch should ?

Multi-plate clutches are for the guys with bigger wallets. Don't expect to find a set for under $1k. You probably won't be making enough HP to fully utilize it's holding capacity anyways.

thanks i was just wondering, you never know...im goin to be doin co ops for mechanical engineering. im planning on designing turbo's so ill be workin on cars the rest of my life!! thats the way to go
