shifter stuck

It happened last night, it got stuck in 2nd and I actually had to kick it out. Now it's real loose, sometimes it goes in 2nd and sometimes it does'nt. It will not go in reverse at all, and I struggle with 4th and 5th. What the Hell happened?

Your clutch is going out.Trust me, i had it happen to me. Once you get to the point to where you start the car and push in the clutch and none of the gears work, then you should know ur clutch went out.

Will it get all the gears if the car is off? You said you had to kick it to get it out of gear, did you pop the hood and kick there or just kick the shifter? It sound like you may have damaged your shifter cables, altough it would be a good Idea to check the clutch, how was it grabbing before this problem started to occur?

yup had that happened to me before. The clutch disc was separated in half. The rivets were all gone and flywheel was scored badly.

I replaced the clutch with a clutchmaster less than 2 months ago. What is this about the shiter cables?

Just for future reference, my cable had actually came loose under the hood on the left side of the engine, below my BOV. Thanks for the help.
