Ticking like a bomb!

I get a ticking sound whenever I depress the clutch. Any answers?

sounds like it could be the throw-out bearing going out.

Most likely the throw out bearing needs to be greased or replaced.

This sounds like the same problem I'm having after an ACT clutch and flywheel install. The high frequency rattling ("ticking") only happens when the clutch is depressed, or running idle.

my talon was clicking like that. then the crankshaft split in half.

I just got done telling my friend to get rid of his 95 5-spd AWD Talon because of the same problem. He has put about 400 Trillion Billion dollars into his 95 awd talon and now it is crankwalked in my driveway. The ticking on his car was the crankshaft hitting the crank sensor. His crank moves back and fourth a whopping 1/16th-1/8th of an inch. At this point it wont run because the sensor is so beat up from hitting the crank.
When he pushed the clutch in, the crank moved forward and caused ticking. This sound was the crankshaft eating the sensor. mmmmm
I honestly hope yours is not the same

+1 on the crankwalk. Does your clutch also feel like it is engaging lower? If it is it's cause your crank is moving in when you push the clutch. Sorry if it is. My boy just fell victom to it. But it's back with a 1g block.

i have the SAME problem and i thought i replaced what was suppost to be the throw out bearing. but i didnt greece it all up is there a way to do so with out going and removing it all over?

okay i just looked it up and i know i replaced the throw out bearing iam going to try to greece it up through the clutch assembly hole thingamabob... hopefuly that fixes the problem if not that sucks cause i dont feel like taking the tranny off again... its not that its realy hard just a pain in the a$$.
