My 2nd gear is totally gone, i have to shift directly to 3rd, how much would it approx. cost to replace the shift forks in 2nd? Do you guys think that is what it is?

Man, You've got to give more info than that... List the details.
How'd it fail, noises, smoke, how long ago, is anything else happening, etc... There are some really sharp people on this forum, but they can't read minds...;)

As for the costs, shift forks are $180, double synchro 2nd is $300, maybe some shift rails? bearings? plus labor (I don't know, I did mine myself)
 
my second gear is basically gone. i can't get into it unless i am at 1k or below. my problem is the synchro is going out. maybe yours is just totally gone.
 
It's not your shift fork. I broke mine and 1st and 2nd would not work. If I remember correctly the shift fork was around $30 - $50.00 from the dealer. There is a good chance it is your synchro but we need details on how it is acting to give you a good answer.
