ok today i was coming home from work and i got on it. i put it in second and my font tires started spinning idk y they did. and + i have a gsx what could this be please help me out please. will it be expencife to fix...

Well one possibility is your transfer case hub splines are shot so it slips so no power is put to the rear end if it would be anything else I'm pretty sure it would have made it pretty unpleasent sound...as a matter of fact did it make any sound?

Well one easy way to check is jack the car up and spin the drive shaft with your hand..if you can NOT GOOD :barf: ..and if it does spin try and figure out where it is spinning..there are 3 possibilities I can think of...1 the splines are stripped but if it made a loud "pop" then I kinda doubt it would be that..2 your pumpkin gernaded and all the guts are layin in the bottom..or..3 your transfer case gear and pinion shredded the teeth or gernaded. But for now jack your car up and see if you can spin the drive shaft and see what you come up with. :thumb:

If it does spin then figure out where it originally spinning from...heres an example...you spin the shaft and you see the cv joints spinning in the rear and the rear tires are rotaing then you must be having some trouble up in your transfer case..same is true for the rear end if you rotate the drive shaft and the front tires spin but no action out the back then your havin trouble in rear end. Hope this helps out. ;)
