The slave cyl. went out on me last wed. got a new one and installed it. bled the clutch a bunch of times and the peddle is still squishy. when the car is on, i have tried to build the pressure up by pumping it a bunch of times but no luck. As a result, i cant even get it into gear. It wont go into first, second grinds and reverse grinds as well. I am at a loss.

I bled it correctly and everything but i believe the slave wont fully extend to allow me to get it into gear. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. The car was in gear when the slave went out and chugged like it would be releasing the clutch with no gas so could it be possible i damaged the shift fork? I am also wondering if it messed up the engagement. Please help

Had similar problem on 1G and the dealer replaced some of the clutch linkage up behind the pedal going thru the firewall, check it out.

Make sure you slave cylinder rod is adjusted properly, if not that, try taboo's extended slave cylinder rod

Push your clutch pedal down and let up on it slowly, Then put your foot behind the pedal and if you can lift it up then your pedal assembly needs to be replaced, the clutch pedal & clutch pedal lever are worn, and you need new pieces from the mitsu dealership, also you might want to check Under the dash above the gas pedal, there is an adjustment nut for the Clutch master cylinder rod. you need to back the rod all the way out of the bracket and then put it back in so its just flush with the bracket and tighten the 12mm nut that keeps the rod fastened to the bracket, and also get a 14mm deep well socket wrench and right next to the CMC rod adjustment there is a hole in the frame that houses the pedal assembly and in the hole is a 14mm nut that keeps the clutch pedal and clutch pedal lever fastened together, this nut needs to be really tight, so check that out also and see if its easy for you to tighten it, if so then torque it down. this should help. if not i would look into a bent clutch fork or the pivot ball that the fork pivots off of needs to be shimmed. good luck.. :thumb:
