I have recently just got done doing a rebuild on my 93 talon tsi AWD. When I first got it done and running the clutch would not disengauge at all. Put in gear with the car off and start it up in gear car would go foward. So at the advice of a shop I pulled the tranny :thumbdown of and put two washers behing the pivot ball. While I was doing that I replaced the slave cylinder. Bled the whole system and it didn t work still :thumbdown . After reading more on the subject I found a way to put more pressure on the master cylinder by adjusting the rod :thumbdown . Did in prove the shifting capabilities. So I drove the car putting on 500 miles of breakin and now I have the same problem. Replaced the master cylinder this weekend. bled the system a gain and again. But to no avail. extended the slave rod. didn t help.Alright you DSM tuners you tell me what else I could do to get this thing to work right, cuz right now I am looking at the car and deciding on where to put the sticks of dynomite to get the most effect. Also while the tranny was off i check the positoning of the TOB it was right. ACT 2600 clutch kit with lightweight fidanza flywheel

did you properly align the disk? I saw you said something about aligning the tob ... but that can't really be aligned so maybe you meant disk? If the disk is not aligned properly what you are describing would happen ... I know it happened to me on my first clutch job. :barf:

What i really meant was the metal clip that holds the TOB in place. To tell the truth gears 1-5 go in a little harsh like there is a little resistents but reverse the th real b****. never will go in with out grinding. that sound is like nails across a chalkboard to me.
