I jacked the car up with all 4 wheels off the ground. If I spin either of the front wheels by hand the rear wheels do not spin at all. If I spin either of the rear wheels by hand then all 4 wheels spin evenly. Is this how its suppose to work?

Also the rear wheels are harder to turn than the fronts. Normal?

Yea its normal. the front diff is not lsd, it is an open diff. when you spin one front tire, its not supposed to spin the rear tires. does the other front tire spin? I blew either my viscous coupling or my center diff, and its only rear wheel drive, So you are ok! :thumb:

Cool thanks. So about the rears being harder to turn what could cause that? If I turn them really slowly I hear a slight metal on metal kinda sound. It comes from both sides.

The only reason why the rear tires are harder to turn is because it is turning all 4 tires, mostlikely, do both rear tires spin the same direction? if they do, then u have lsd and thats another good reason why its harder! it is coupling the rears together while it is trying to make the driveline turn, the opposite when you're driving. thats why our cars have a LOT of drivetrain loss :thumbdown and why fwd can WHOOP most awd's up top! but we still pull 3 or 4 car lengths on them while they doin mad burnouts! :p well, i hope i answered all your q's and if you even need anything thats not too technical, then hit me up! l8r
