wassup guys...i heard about "stockspyder" car and he has awd conversion. just say if i didnt want to trade/sell my car to get a gsx. how much would it cost for me to do that conversion. i meen everybody has to love AWD! thanx

A few people have done it. There was a thread about it that went into details. But it going to cost you quite a bit. I believe 4-5k The parts are not that hard to come by, but the actual labor is what is going to kill you. ALOT of custom work and welding has to be done.

I guarantee you the cost was different for everyone that did the conversion so you really can't put a price on it. I myself bought a wrecked (in the front) 96 TSI AWD for $500 and sold the parts I didn't need. So not only did I get the parts I needed for free I profited off the car and got another $700 for my FWD tranny. I believe RRE charges "around" 2g's for labor from start to finish so go from there. My advice is to atleast put the AWD tranny, TC, axles, DP, and gastank in yourself and just have a shop mount the entire rear suspension along with the driveshaft since that part of the conversion is the most involved, then all you have to do is install the rest of the exhaust and then go out and try to pull the front wheels off the ground :D... sounds easy right?
