Clutch gone bad?

Today i let my cousin drive my car a bit and he isn't very good at stick yet but he didn't too bad...well anyways after we finished i could smell the clutch burning so i drove it around a bit and when i punched it in gear i saw the engine rpm's go up but my car wasn't pulling like it usually does...I also noticed that the clutch isnt stiff when my foot is off it (there is like 3" of slack before it gets stiff). My question is, is it deffinetely the clutch or could it be something else?

thats definatley your clutch, same thing happened to me the other night. DO NOT LET IT SPIN like that without it pulling. you WILL crack your pressure plate. so then you can add another couple hundred on top of the clutch. i would say your car is driveable, but dont push it to the point where it starts to spin like that. get the clutch replaced asap.

Thanks a lot man...i just drove it around right now and the same results...I did it while it was in 4th gear and felt like i was in nuetral....
I'm going to go get it checked out a.s.a.p

Took it in Tuesday and sure enough it was the clutch. I just got it back today and it's like driving a whole new car...I gotta get used to it again.

Did you upgrade? Or replace with stock? Which ever take it easy on it for about 500 miles.

It's the stocker.... It feels like it wants to stall all the time now (i guess i have to practice some more)
