2G 1g awd 5spd in 2g awd?

Hi. ive got a 96 eagle talon tsi awd 5spd, and it didnt come with a transmmision,diff,or driveshaft, my problem is i cant find a 2g awd 5sp tranny anywhere so will a 1g awd 5spd work? what are the dawbacks?thnks a lot!!

make sure you use the 1g t case

so it will work fine as long as i get a first gen transfer case?

some one was telling me my speedometer wouldn't work or something?
also that the was one less mount or something and it wouldn't be safe to use a 1g tranny, is this correct?

I'm in the process of putting a new2g tranny in my 90. If you use your old speed sensor it will work.
-2g electronic speed sensor
-1g mechanical speed sensor
!!!!they break easily!!!!
