Part-list for a 95-96 tranny in a 1990 awd?

I've search some of the threads here and I plan on doing this swap. Since there is alot of conflicting information out there, I'd like to get my information of parts that I will need straighted out. Here's what I understand of what I may need:

95-96 23spline trans
92-96 transfer case
95-96 shifter cables
92-94 shifter

Am I missing anything in that list? I also plan on getting the 4bolt rear, but as money is an issue, I'll be doing just the tranny swap for now. Can anyone give tips on your 2g-in-a-1g tranny swap? Also, is it true the starter needs to be repositioned and custom fitted? What about the shifter weight on the 2g tranny, does this need to be removed?

I am curious why you want a hard to find 2g AWD tranny in your 1g when you could stick with the dime a dozen 1g aWd trans?
