Hard gears, what is this?

The gears dont really grind or anything is just that the gears are hard to push in sometimes, and well it seems like it has multiple steps into getting into a gear is not one smooth input. Sometimes feels like the gear is in but i have to push it a bit harder and further, when it goes in it feels like it's going in forced, not smooth, but still doesn't grind. I've bled the system, adjusted the engagement point and now is engaging pretty good(1/4 of the way off the floor). The master or slave cylinders are not leaking but the gears are not going fully in sometimes. I've adjusted the shifter cables as well. I've done multiple searches, spent 2 days searching before posting so please no agression, I just need some comments, opinions or whatever but no stupidity. Thanks in advance for your help.

Drain the gearbox and refill with Pennzoil Synchromesh.

That's exactly what i was going to try next, since my oil change is due im going to replace the tranny fluid as well. Is there any specific thickness i should use? Thanks for your reply, comments are greatly appreciated.

GM or Pennzoil Synchromesh is a synthetic gear oil formulated specifically for synchronized gear boxes. As such it only comes in one viscosity(roughly 5-30) apparently a good one for our cars. GM is very expensive $12-16 quart from a GM dealer, Pennzoil is generally about $5 cheaper and is the exact same formula, it can be found at your local Autozone, Carquest etc... Good Luck!
