Well guys I have an ACT2100, which came installed in a 90 TSi AWD I just picked up.

I haven't launched the car at all, but I know for a fact its well past the break-in period. I went out, and gave it a few launches (around 4500RPM).

On the last launch, right after the launch the clutch pedal felt a bit weird. Almost like there is less pressure. I checked the clutch fluid resevoir, and its full - not leaking any fluid what-so-ever.

There is also a chattering/rattling noise coming from the transmission area inside the engine bay. As soon as you depress the clutch pedal, the chattering/rattling noise goes away.

Shifting is fine, and the clutch is engaging/disengaging correctly. I don't need to pump it up or anything...

Has anyone else has a similiar problem? Any information would be GREAT. If you guys need more info, just shoot me some questions. Thanks for the space!

Thats exactly what I thought when it started doing everything I mentioned above...

The ACT2100 was installed by Mitsu (by the previous owner obviously) would they replace the TOB when doing the clutch install? This was only a few months ago...

Thanks for the information!

I have no idea what Mitsu's quality control is like. Worst they could say is no, right?

I was just asking if they probably would have put a new TOB in when installing the ACT2100...

Is that normal precedure to replace the TOB when putting in a new clutch?

And the noise went away somewhat, or quieted down alot. Is this something that I can wait on or will this ruin other parts of my tranny if it fails?

Thanks for all the help, sorry if these questions are simple, but one of the only things I don't understand about these cars yet is the internals of the tranny.

Well, thanks again for the help!

Yes you should put a new TOB when you replace clutches.

Theoretically it could damage things (PP fingers).
