when in gear...shifter moves

When the shifter is put into gear, it will travel from side to side, like it does in nuetral.....not as much as in neutral, but u get the point. It will move back and fourth, but stay in gear....just noticed this and wondered if it is normal??

mine does that to, and i have solid shifter bushings from the previous owner. i would suggest getting new shifter bushings and then see how it is. i am going to try to get a nicer set than a few washers that are in there now and see how that works. definately go with new shifter bushings and see how it feels.
