hey yall, Is it ok to put in Penzoil Synchromesh into a new trans. Im saying new cause it wasnt rebuilt, its new from the factory. It is, I have the paper work. Would it be ok????

Despite raped's considered opinion {with apparently the same foundation as Swamp Castle), there are hundreds of us using, praising, and entirely happy with Pennzoil Synchromesh. As a simple run at the search option will confirm.

And don't ever even THINK of bumping a thread again. We'll get to you in time.

thanks:p

Try it watch how it nicely pours out like water when you drain it. It also has an added bonus of making noises in in your trans that much more distinguished. But seriously I dont use it and I wouldnt recommend it. If it was my car I'd run synchroshift or redline mtl (I believe thats what its called). Run some regular 75w90 to break it in then change it after about 500 miles.

Syncromesh or BG Syncroshift will work fine, Pogi.

ok, Two conflicting Answers. I think i might do the 75w90 break in, then Change to BG, or Royal Purple.

I always change the oil 500 miles after a rebuilt you would be suprised to see all of the junk that comes out.

I've been using syncromesh for the past 1000 miles with no problems

yah, When I got my Auto Rebuilt in my 1989 Galant, I needed to bring it back after 500 miles, and get the Oil changed. so there is kinda a break in period.

a NEW trans doesn't need to be broke in since all the parts are new.

a rebuilt trans does need to be broken in.
