Praise for Transdude and IPT

I just wanted to voice a huge Thanks You to John, Brad and anyone else at the Import Performance Transmission shop. John has been extremely helpful and answered any and all my questions. He even went on a road test with me before I paid my bill. I picked up my 91 GSX this morning after having the shift kit and end clutches done. All I can say is WOW!!! The car shifts firm and positive, and there is NO lag between upshifts. What a difference those parts made.. If anyone has considered this upgrade, for their Automatic, like Nike says "Just Do It!" As long as your trans is in good shape without needing a rebuild first. Mine has 98K miles, well maintained and never rebuilt, and now feels 10X's better than my friends 99 GST auto that I rode in this morning to pick mine up. I can finally feel the power that my Big 16G has been making. All that is left now is an upgraded Torque converter and trans cooler later this summer.

I'm gonna piggyback off this thread of praise for IPT.
If you want top notch service with a smile at a good price, definitely check them out for your transmission needs.
I had the shift kit, end clutch and seals, tranny filter and fluid done today and I must say the 1 hour+ drive to get out there for me was well worth it.
I was taken for a test drive before and after the work to ensure satisfaction and I must say I'm VERY pleased.
I was encouraged to stay and watch the entire process and many of my questions about transmissions and other things car-related were answered knowledgably without any attempt to sell me more than I asked for or needed.

For instance, I asked about tranny coolers and I wouldn've easily asked to have one installed if persuaded due to my lack of knowledge with transmissions, but I was told by John that the factory setup was sufficient for my needs.

After watching the process, I'm glad I didn't attempt this myself with my lack of experience and lack of tools =)

For you DIYers, they currently have a special on the shift kit+end clutch kit for $139 on their website at www.importperformancetrans.com
I'm not sure how much longer they will have it so if you're planning on getting this done, it's probably a good time...
