ok im not sure but can you put a tranny cooler on a manual or is strictly for auto tranny's. Im thinking of rebuilding my tranny here soon and i want a solid reliable tranny. What could i use or is there any kits that are made for the 1st gen dsm? Thanks in advance guys. Van this one is for you hehe later, kevin.:D

Until you get VERY serious, manual transmissions and their lube don't need cooling. But by then, you also have to cool the transfer case and rear end, as applicable.
Manual transmissions as stock don't have any kind of circulation pump, nor a need for one. Put the idea out of your mind, before it does.

ok so it can be done though right? I mean i will be running this car very very hard when im done i will be able to run low 11s in a drag, autocross as well as even go to some car shows. I want to make the most reliable 11 sec dsm you have ever seen and not have to worry about anything breaking(i know its a long shot). I was also thinking about cooling the entire drivetrain but im not sure if you could even cool the tranny. Thanks guys, kevin.

ok i found someone who had done it on twingles.com/ideck. His name is andrew or andrea anyway he has photos and all the parts listed. Seems pretty expensive but i really think its worth it what do you guys think? late, kevin.

Wellll..... how many times have you heard of this being done? Are there problems with the DSM gearbox that are attributed to high lubricant temperatures?

I think you're wasting your time and money, but not everyone recognizes my savant-like genius.
