Hey guys just wanted to tell you about my night at the track last night. Friday was the last grudge night at Maple Grove for this season. I was feeling pretty confident that I would do well that night. The weather was just right lows 70s. I replaced my webs street grind with a pair of HKS 272s and I replaced my Br street core with a Spearco 2-216 core all of this was installed and tuned at Wes Hess Racing (HighPsi91) #11 on dsmtimes.org. This was my first time at the track with the new setup so I wanted to see what it would do on pump gas. I like to run at the track with pump gas to get a good baseline and to try and get a handle on what I can beat on the street.

The day started off real poor. I got to the track pretty early and about half way through my run I felt that something was pretty wrong. When I got my slip mph and et were down. I took a look at the safc and I noticed it was off. What I realized about an hr later is that it became disconnected internally. So I opened up the safc and reconnected it and ran a [email protected] literally a minute after I got it working. I only got one other run in that night because people kept spilling all over the track. For my last run temps were in the high 60s or so. I ran a [email protected] on a 1.78 60ft. Not too bad IMHO. All runs were at about 21lbs of boost. Something tells me with a few more passes I may see a high 11 in the 118-119 range. I may also be able to run a lb or two more boost.

My relevant mods are BR57 turbo Diamond Star Motorsports race core, 850cc injectors, TMO ecu, Hes Racing idle air simulator, safc, HKS 272 cams, BJ stage 2 head work and 91 piston 95 rod motor. Now I know that if you narrow down the field enough you can be the best at something. But does anyone know of a pump gas record with a safc? I know that a lot of people have gone a bit better on the Red with pump gas but usually they have a VPC too. I'm hopping that if I add some c16 I should be able to see another 8-12mph and I plan on doing that in another week or two at Cecil when it gets a bit cooler.

As for the future I have a Haltech sitting on the couch right now and a Maguns 4G64 in the mail :D I'm getting tired of having to fight the ecu I'm thinking that once I get things all tuned on the Haltech I should see a healthy increase in pump gas power just by being able to control timing and not having to worry about the knock sensor.

I haven’t been to the dyno yet But if you throw my numbers into a hp calculator it should be well over 400hp to the wheels. I am still running full weight. By full weight I mean cold running ac, bumpers, all my seats, and heavy ass driver.

I would really like to take the opportunity to thank Wes (HighPsi91) he has done a really good job at trying to fit me in with all his other work including his own 10 sec car. Ok guys thanks for listening.

That is a picture of my car squaring off against Ari Yallon at an IDRC even a few years ago. He ran a 10 something to my car's 12 something.

The HKS 272s idle SIGNIFIGANTLY better and make more power. I don’t know why you would look at anything else.

Price is a big issue I have to decide if i want to get the big turbo or cams first if i do cams first I save about 1500 but I really want the B 16
