Raced from a stop, pulled about 9-10 cars up to 100mph
Raced from a 45 roll, he would pull about 2 cars up to 100. Him losing that bad from a stop is definetly traction related,i know, but I still kicked his V8 ace. Best part of the night was when i let my freind drive my car. He taught me how to brakeboost and also managed to shoot a 2ft flame out my exhaust:cool:

If your best is a 14.2@96, it should have been closer than that. 99+'s are capable of high 13s stock, at least a low 14s and trap around 100. I can't see it being 9-10 carlengths when would have caught back up at least at the 1/8th mark or been pulling pretty hard and finally caught up around 100. He probably let off after he got it handed to him off the line.

Unless you haven't been back to the track since the turbo upgrade, then what I said above wouldn't matter bc you should be faster. :thumb:

Nope I havnt been back to the track since most of my upgrades have been put on my car. That 14.2 was with a intake, bov, a muffler, and nitto 455's. I said me beating him that bad was traction related, my freind with the mustang said he didnt stop the race but did have to let off a little to get traction, but hey thats drag racing for ya.

Turbo uprade isnt huge tho, i didnt know how much faster i would be. Its a 14b set at 15psi with with upgraded ic piping.

cool :nice: Sounds like the mustang guy needs to learn how to "slip the clutch" instead of starting a smoke show

good kill - i remember beating v8s from lights with my awd and t-25

it was funny seeing some of them just give up when you fly outta the hole

I'll have to post my latest kill. 02 gt from a light (good driver)

what he uis saying is that people complain about the unreliability of dsm's after they do things like "brake boosting" and "shooting a flame". I dont think it was an attack on you but merley saying people drive the crap out of these cars and complain when they break.

'Built Mustang' to an import guy = exhaust and gears.

Yeah that was what i was thinking:laugh: At this point i wont be disapointed if my car blows up, unconvienient maybe, but not diaspointed. The car has 144,000 miles, been in prbly 200+ streetraces over the past few years, and the only reliability issue ive had during the time ive had it is a blown T25 and broken shifter. I know its not the best for the car but sure is damn good time, LOL.

Regards,

Next time I talk to an import guy Ill tell him that. Bullits are quicker(not much) than GT's. Ive driven both at my work and the bullit is quicker and looks ALOT better than the gt.

Brian524 yeah Ive had the same problems...I figure if my car made it 100k then it can take a few more thousand with a busted coil clutch and limping turbo..it has for 20k so far.
