Well Fontana was great! My first run I blew a intercooler coupling and coasted to a 16.1 @ 86. It took me 2 hours to track down 2 1/2 radiator hose at 8pm on a saturday...But I found some at FREIGHTLINER and was able to fix the car and get into the lanes just as the closing call went out... Staged, Green and the rpms go up and the car barely moves..Ended up @ 14.8 @96 mph...Oops guess I didn't break in the clutch well enough...Babied it to my brothers apt, and adjusted the clutch, checked the clutch fluid, and no more slippage...

Sorry to hear about the trouble. You should have come over to the SoCal DSM Club pit area, we usually have tools and hose on hand.

It was ridiculously crowded, but we had 15 DSMs come out in our group.

I remember the first time I blew off an intercooler hose. I was sure I had blown up the motor. Heh

My little bucket ran a 15.1 after finding out the hard way to check spark plugs on race day.I got there at 1pm started racing at 5:30pm .Tech was a joke, it took 2hrs.There was like 400 plus cars.Every last any kinda car club was there.Great turn out but 1 run for 8hrs of BS and $20 to get in.Couldn't even call the first run a shakedown pass cuz you ain't running again for the rest of the night.Yeah Larry ya gotta ask down there. They don't drive that Ole' Chevy truck and trailer for nothin'.Even saw Rob down there.

I WAS AT FONTANA ON SATURDAY TO! rAN MY WORST TIME EVER. NO AAA IN CASE OF NEED OF A TOW. aFRAID TO BREAK AFTER THE LAST 250$ TOW BILL:cry: I RAN A SORRY 14.8 AND 14.0 :thumbdown I RAN BETTER TIMES OVER THE SUMMER WITH A BADLY SLIPING STOCK CLUTCH, ALWAY THROUGH THIRD AND FOURTH SHUT DOWN EARLY. RAN A 13.4. ALSO NEED SOME LAST MINUTE ADJUSTMENTS THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE REALY AFFECTED MY TIMES TO! DEFINATLEY TIME TO INVEST IN AAA. LOT LESS THAN A ONE TIME TOW HOME:thumb: OH YAH TECH DID SUCK THEY NEED A BETTER SYSTEM. STILL BETTER THAN RUNNING FROM THE COPS.:D :dsm:

Sometimes you have to follow your gut! You should'nt let a good decision make you feel bad. I think it was the smartest thing you could have under your circumstances. I bet you run 12's on the 24th. :thumb:

Don't worry Leo the wait was just because it was the first day..The crowd will thin out. Last summer we got out there ar 12:30 and they had already handed out 500 yellow cards. But from there out it was better. Yes Fontucky is the white trash capital of California. And dem' boys ain' takin' a likin to us 4 bangers out der tryin' race. Gun racks and confederate flags a wavin away. Yeeehawww....

Shoot me an e mail and give me at [email protected] and give me more info on SoCal DSM Club.

Is pretty simple, http://socal.dsm.org

SoCal DSM is the largest/oldest group of DSMers in Southern California, and we have a mailing list that we use for general discussion of technical problems, events, and other stuff.

Hey whats up everyone, I usually take my car to palmdale, but fontana doesnt sound far at all, next time ill probobly shoot up there and add 1 more dsm in the crowd. :thumb:

Sweet, Jan 24th Be there at noon for check in. Tech inspection is at 2pm and racing begins at 4pm...Bring Drivers lic, Insureance, And registration. Long pants, closed toe shoes, and a shirt with some kinda sleeve on it. Oh and if you run faster than a 13.9 (14.9 in a convertible) Bring a Snell approved helmet too.. See ya there.

Damn thats three strikes, I dont have registration I have the monthly pass good till the end of january, no insurance yet since im trying to pass smog, and no helmet. are they really that strict? I might have to wait until i have everything. at palmdale they didnt hastle me on any of those, I ran a 14.6 and didnt need the helmet, oh well hopefully by next time.
THANKS.....

I was at Dave's dyno Day. I put down 250HP & 282 TQ in the SRT. I later proved I cant drive a FWD car running a 2.33 60 ft to 13.5 @ 104.6.
I will be out there the 24th in the SRT again. I hope to get the Galant fixed here sometime this century. Maybe by the 8th I will have it fixed and ready for a cage.;)

Slight change of plans. I will be racing the Galant. I just hope that it goes into second. It has been too long and I need 12's bad.

see you guys there

Jason

I won't be there till next time.Trying to get Diamond to make me some rims for my M&Hs.Imma sit this one out to see how packed its gonna be this weekend .

Hey Jason I heard Dominick went 12.1 @120 mph...Too sick OMG Now thats what I'm talkin' bout.
