13's?

put the manual cams, 14b 3in turboback(here youd be close to if not in the 13s with a manual 1g), k and n filter, boost controller set at 15 psi, boost gauge(before getting controler), maybe better tires. with this you should be close if not in the 13s, at least the cars my way at a shitty track are pulling those numbers with those mods.

you should also get a set of 450cc injectors and a MT ECU to control them. The auto's come with a ECU that has maps only for 390cc injectors. just a though.

2g exhaust manifold, rewire the fuel pump will help reduce knock, and weight reduction wouldn't hurt.

I heard that a torque converter helps a lot in the automatics. Get manual cams, free mods, 16g, stock 450cc injectors, more boost. If you are on a budget I would not buy an after market exaust. Just dissconect your down pipe at the track. and through in some race gas and you will be in healthy 13s. In fact I would recomend 550cc injectors and 2nd gen mafs. You wouldnt need s-afc cause the 2nd gen mafs leans out your parameters a few degrees. You will get great timing advance cause your injector duty cycle will be pretty low with the 550s were as the 450s would start to run out of steam! :talon:

I'm pretty sure you need a safc to run a 2g mas on a 1g or else it wont run right. You should just take the lower honnycomb out of your 1g mas and that will allow you to run a couple more pounds of boost.

Dude that is what Im saying, you can not run 2g mafs on a 1g with stock injectors. thats why you get 550s.
2g mafs leans map 15%
550cc richen map 15%

Basically what bizzydsm is trying to say is that if you are running 550cc injectors on a 1g then by throwing the 2g maf in the car it will cancel out the 550's, hence the 2g maf will lean out the car about 15-17%

now since the 550cc's run about 15% more fuel then 450cc's the 2g maf will even things up with the 550's.

Now if you had a stock 1g maf and 550cc's then yes you would need to run a AFC or some sort of fuel controll or you will be running overly rich.

Oh my bad i never knew you could do that, thats awesome, i think i might do that instead of get a safc. :thumb:

k I just got to thinking again since the auto's came with a ECU that can only handle 390's would the whole 2g mas and 550's still work or would you have to get a MT ECU

Its preety easy to get 13's out of a 1G :thumb:

but it is a little harder if it is an automatic (cause of smaller turbo, injectors, and less aggresive cams), the shift kit i heard helps alot you should check that out its cheap but if you havent had any experience with a auto valve body you should probably have a DSM trustworthy shop do it.
