this was about a month ago with my tsi. mods are 14b turbo, fmic, 3" exhaust, dsmlink, walbro 255, rewire, weight mods. stock clutch and injectors running on 91 octane pump gas and 18psi with mild street tune.

i raced the 300zx from a roll first. from a 30-100mph roll we were about dead even. we then had to shut down because of cars ahead of us. we then raced twice from a stop, both times i missed 2nd gear but both times i put a good 3-5 cars on him. his 300zx has jim wolf dual pop chargers, 3" exhuast, bc, and jim wolf ecu. dynos at 350whp.

the lt1 camaro was an automatic with basic power upgrades. raced from a stop once and a 50-100 roll once and put quite a few car lengths on him.

the wrx was really close. first race i started rolling and my stutterbox shut off so i burnt the clutch BAD and lost. second race he poped out of first gear. third race the stutter box worked awsome and i launched hard, kept it upto 150mph and he was about 2 cars back. the wrx was full weight and had a fully built motor and transmission, i forget the turbo size but the guy had alot done. the car was untuned though which could explain alot.

the stock mach 1 was from a stop and was a good 6 car lengths behind.

thats pretty damn good for a 14b...to bad it wasn't at the track

the car without me in it weighs 2885 lbs. all the races were with people i knew and were setup ahead of time, i can not vouch for the driving skill of the drivers, some are still learning.

weight mods help ALOT in my opinion. if you look at me vrs the 300zx from a roll, he had at least a 100whp power atvantage on me but i held with him. 100whp was not enough to make up for 500lbs of weight.

just to let you know its not a 100whp difference its more like 50whp. With the 1/4 you ran you put down ruffly 300whp. and a 350whp Z will trap around 107-109 in the 1/4 with a low 13 second pass. They stuck from a stop, nissan made them a nice anti-squat rear end so they do not get off of the line. So from a stop is no surprise. But a roll it sounds about right, i would guess he would start to pull on you after 100mph, maybe all depends. those cars are really built for top end speed. Good kills all around and thats impressive stuff for 18psi pump gas stock injectors.. almost unbelivable. and with almost 300whp im surprised the stock clutch is holding.

with pump gas i'm putting out around 250whp, with race gas closer to 260-270whp. people with similar mods have put out similar power levels. weight reductions definatly helped alot. i run 12.5 @ 109 on race gas and 20psi, i was running 91 pump and 18psi.

im just saying i made 272whp on pump gas and i only ran a 13.01@100mph somthing was up with the car but a 109mph trap is not a 250whp car. thats what i was saying.

And my brother made 360rwhp on his TTz and that thing only ran a 13.6@108 i belive. they just cant get off the line. Im guessing the weight loss did alot for you. I bench race too much and take other peoples times for stuff. This is what im getting at. If my brother can trap a 108 on pump gas and you trapped a 109 on race gas the Z should pull on you up top IF you are running lower boost and pump gas. That is why i think the other driver is not the greatest b/c it should have pulled on you up top at least. If not then the weight you pulled off your car did alot. Good kills anyway.:thumb:

I've made 275 whp on my 14b and I trap 107.9 weighing 3000+ lbs w/ me in it. If he weighs about 200 lbs less than me, and basically ran the same time/mph, he's probably making roughly 260-265 whp.

No intent to rip, just inform.

Just because a car doesn't squat, doesn't mean that it's not putting the power to the ground. It's designed that way, a more efficient transfer of power. A car that squats is using up energy and motion to do so.

Ever see top fuel dragster squat? No? That's because they have a significant amount of anti-squat.

they actually raise in the rear.. quiet a bit too.
pick up a chassie book and read lots of interesting stuff inside;)
btw the right suspension/chassie setup will *help* with sticky tires or regular radials compared to a improper setup one.
