did final tuning on the Talon last Wed. night on the Dynapacks here in CT at XX Tuning....a local import speed shop.

First pull was 267HP..........untuned.

The car ended up with 284.7HP@5983rpm and 271.1TQ@5038rpm. Boost was averaging around 19psi.........with a spike to 21 as I hit the pedal. So, the car feels nutty........and is running well. Hopefully, we will run well this Friday. I have from 10am to 4pm to run down the strip in less than 12.0. I'll keep you guys posted.........

sweet! great numbers, i wish you luck at the track! so you think around 19psi is the magical 14b boost number? i've been trying anywhere from 18-20psi with luck, i'm wondering if i should try 21-22 psi? the temps at brainerd on wensday should be in the 40's, do you think i should try more boost with these temperatures? i'm running a massive front mount right now to cool the 14b's steam. just curious, what kind of base timing advance are you running?

I actually think that 20 is the perfect max boost........earlier this year on the dynojet at Altered, here was the break down

19 psi 257HP and 275TQ

20 psi 263.1HP and 281.7TQ

21 psi 265.9HP and the same TQ as 20 psi


so.........there is a good jump in WHP from 19 to 20 psi.....but 20-21 is not that big at all.............and torque was the same......

I'd roll 20psi................

If I remember correctly, I think Phil's car weighs in the neighborhood of 2580 lbs +/- I remember reading that in another post. Talk about weight reduction!!

yep..11secDSM is right......thats about where the car is - 2580, so, with me 2765 or so, total weight.........
