Infiniti G35 Sports Coupe VS ME what do u think?

My father has a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sports Coupe 280HP, I have a 95 GST with a B16 G Turbo and intake, apexi exhaust, and HKS SSBOV(15PSI) i know its hard to say but who do you think would win? Thanx

get a fuel system upgrade (fuel pump, injectors) and turn up the boost... then you'll have a better chance... but if i remember right, the G35 is toned down skyline motor ?

Maybe I am missing something but a G35 Sport Coupe runs a 14.6 in the 1/4 mile. You should be in the 13's with your mods. I let you guess who is going to win that race.

I was reading the specs on the G35, it does run 14.6 and my best time at the track is 14.1, i have drivin that car plenty of times and its got power and i didnt know that engine comes off a skyline, where did you hear that? Thats pretty neat.

hmm that engine is not even related to the rb26 ..

it is a 3.5l isnt it? im guessing its much like the 3.5l in the 350z, maybe a little less hp.. so he prolly has around 275 hp or so, is heavier.. youd win!!

my specs may be wrong, if they are, just post..

Its got 280 Hp at the flywheel, the 350Z is very simular, but has 287 Hp to the flywheel. I dont know what the G35 is pushing at the wheels. It will be sweet racing my dad, that car has a sack on it though. I'm lighter though~

ya, srry i meant flywheel hp.. btw do any manufacturers rate their hp by wheel hp any more for insurance costs? i know some are very underrated..

the v6 engine in the G35/350z is french. its a renou, or how ever you spell it. but i guess the G35 is the new skyline chasis.

The G 35 is the American version of the 2003 Skyline in Japan...... It's not the GTR..(That has not come out yet) just the regular base model..... I think it's a underrated car.... the G 35 that is. Most people that buy it dont even know what they are getting..

the new "r35" skyline has not been release anywhere yet as far as i know.. its scheduled for 2004-2005, same as the new supra..

at first i heard turbo v8 or v6.. now the "rumor" is a fairly large v6.. like atleast 3.5l.. to many, this sucks because the heritage would be gone and no tuneability atleast compared the the old 2j... BUT, price would be kept down and maybe later they will release somethin turbo!!!

Whatever Toyota come out with, wheather its a V8 or V6 n/a its no Supra in my eyes. But im more than positive that there will be a lot of turbo kits all over the place for that beast.

do you rember that twin turbo HKS drag supra, the engine was based off one of the infinity Q45 modles i think, maybe thats a hint. its sucks that pobably the skyline and supra will move away from the straight 6-turbo engine to V-layout.

How did the race come out? For future reference, just race, then let us know the results so we can congratulate/help you. I cannot comment on your reaction time vs. yer padre's, the condition of yer clutch vs. his, or the condition of your motor vs. his. If his car is broken in, then maybe he is faster.... How did you learn that you have 280 horses?

yes we all know this.. the g35 has less hp probably due to intake/exhaust or maybe even cam profile differences..

I never said i have 280 HP thats what the G35 has to the flywheel. Ill be racing him soon and ill let ya guys know what the outcome is.
