This past Sunday, I ran 11.50@119 on straight 93 octane. No water injection, stock ecu/afc/maft combo. Here is the timeslip:

60: 1.669
1/8: 7.382@96
1/4: 11.50@119

Times should be updated soon onthe www.dsmtimes.org page and also hope to go up on the FP Hall of Fame board very shortly. I was told there is video somewhere, i'll try to track that down.

Here is a link to the actual slip: 11.50@119

That would be 26psi on pump gas. Very scary stuff. I am not sure if I want to go back out on pump gas and try to better that. With better weather and a slightly better state of tune, there MAY be 1-2mph more and possibly another .1-.15 to be gained somewhere. But that's a ways off. I need some nice 50 degree turbo weather and a rollbar. Track wasn't very pleased with me after that run.

Damn that nice! It just seems like people do better with the green that the 50 trim t3/t4's on pump gas.

Are you running stock cams?

Congrats on your new times!:thumb: I myself plan on swapping out my FP ported Big28 with a FP Green and 660's next spring. The Big28 rocks IMHO, so I could only imagine what the FP Green is going to be like.

DCJ98GST: I am running HKS 272's and a Forrester Racing Manifold.

airpoppoff: I had a touch of knock in 4th gear, nothing in 3rd. The knock was a little more than I would have liked to see. I believe I got up to about 10-12 knock sum and my timing dipped down to about 15-16 degrees in 4th gear. Normally, I like to see 19-20 deg. in 4th. With some cooler weather, I believe I should be able to tune that out, and possibly go a little quicker.

98TsiAWD: Not trying to be arrogant or anything, but that launch was very avg. The track was getting worse and worse as the day went on. All the street tires were chewing the track up, and it was getting hotter and hotter. My first 2 60's of the day (around 10:30am and 11am), were a 1.625 and a 1.63. This run was made around 3:30p, and the air temp was 87 degrees.

I know. At the time of that run, I was up for about 30hrs straight, since I got off work at 7a that morning, and went straight to the track. That run was made around 3:30p. My first qualifying pass, I cut a .503 light, and they got worse as the day went on. that was the worst light ofthe day for me.

Even tho I lost the race, i still collected $100 and set a new best. I'm not complaining at all.

wasteful: i thought so too. I put some race gas in the car and took it to the track. Was cutting 1.59 60's on a few runs!! But for some reason, the car just knocked like a mofo at 6200rpm in 3rd gear. I couldn't get away from it or tune it out. I don't know if i got a batch of bad gas or got soem bad wiring in the fuel pump or something else.

But, needless to say, the car is coming out of the hole like a raped ape. I might have to put my AGX's on to keep the ass end from scraping the muffler!!!!

Which car were you...I was up there with a couple buddies who were racing....they both ran 11.9's in there 2g's. It was definitely a good time...Lots of DSM's. Congrats on the time...I bet I have you on tape!

Cale

The car sounds familiar....I'm at school now so I don't have the tape but when I go home I'll check and see.

You said you had the forrester manifold? How do you like it, would you recommend it on a pte 50 trim, w/ no internal mods other than arp head studs? Planning on the 264/272 combo this winter.

I like everything that I put on the car, otherwise those parts wouldn't be there. I can't say any one mod made XX difference since I put a LOT of parts on the car at once. But, the 50 trim, the manifold, and the cams, as a package, make some very nice HP gains over what I originally had (stock manifold/cams/16G).

As for the other stuff, I have no other internal mods except for the ARP head studs AND a metal HG. While you are in there installing the ARP's, might as well go ahead and throw a stronger HG in there. If you are going to run a 50 trim and an aftermarket intake manifold, might as well just get the 272/272 combo. Don't hold anything back with the 264 cam just because you are worried about idle issues. My car idles fine.

2.4L? I wish!! I'm still running the stock 2.0L, with 156k miles on it. Compression is 155/150/135/144 Had a mishap one day. Hose on the wastegate came off and ran a few seconds of 28psi on pump gas totally untuned. NOT good. But still got enough power to put down about 410whp.

Did you degree your cams?

HKS cams don't need to be degreed. Damn near perfect from the factory. Do yourself a favor, and spend the few extra $$ over the Webs/Crowers and a good product. Screw adj. cam gears and degreeing. Just install and go!!!

I checked the video and I don't think I got your runs but I did walk through the parking lot and I did tape your car for like 2 minutes. I think I'll check it again though. I can't believe I wouldn't tape a DSM.
