How to launch?

I have a 99' RS (manual). I know this might be a stupid question but what is the trick to having a good launch off the line. Here's a list of my mods if that has anything to do w/ it (Intake/Greddy 4-1 Header/Greddy Evo Cat-Back)

well since youve got a fwd you cant launch as high as an awd. ive seen them lauhcn as high as 6500 rpm. i launch my n/t (2.0L) at about 2500-3000 rpm. you may be able to launch a little higher cause you have les hp although idk.

to launch rev your car to the desired rpm we'llsay 2700. then hold it there. watch the tree or person depnding where you are racing, and when the last set of yellow lights come on quickly let out your clutch without dumping it. if it is a person wait till there arms are parellel with the road. then do the same thing.

most of all launching will take practice. im still not the best at it and ive been racing for like 2 months going every fri night. so find an abandoned parking lot or yard or an old back road and practice just launch after launch, but wathc out for your clutch...
