Ok well I was bored a bit tonight and so I rounded up a few of my old slips of my car in its various states of tune. I then tweaked the "parameter senseitivety" (sp?) until I got the correct ET/MPH ratios for my car.
Note please dont take this as an end all but rather as a more refined estimate of the cheap little JAVA horsepower calculators that are roaming around the internet. Please DO NOT get flame me if you or your buddy or your sister's ex-boyfriend's second cousin removed or something dyno'd differently at XX.XXX ET... Again this is just an estimate that in my mind seems to be pretty darn good (based on my 4 years with DSMs and constantly going around the internet looking at slips/dynos)...
For those of you looking for the general variables:
- This is FLYWHEEL (i.e. bhp) horsepower
- Stock 1g (3350 lbs)
- AWD
- 5500 RPM launch
- Stock tires
- Stock 93 AWD Gearing
When I would go through and pause car test I noticed I was getting 1.8x 60' times. And in my case I am in the middle of the graph at a 12.17 at about 114 (Thats my real life run), I would assume that an 11 second run would be closer to the 117 mph range but if anyone really wants to know I can enter in that horsepower number and see what I get.
