92 eclipse j-spec 1/4 mile

whats the stock 92 eclipse j-spec 1/4 mile time? i searched for it but couldnt find anything.

All eclipses' either made on one side of the planet or another have the same 4g63. Only differ is the US versions have better intake manifolds.

that cant be right, a friend of mine has a 92 talen that just got a j-spec engine from ctc motorsports and i raced him last night in my 89 bmw. first race sucked because i had a really bad start but second race was neck and neck untill bout top of third for me then i pulled on him. before we raced i was talkin to him and asked if it was rated higher in horespower he said yes and he also said turbo activates quicker and i also know that the j-spec are dohc... my car runs bout 14.4 so i know there quicker than that

His turbo activates quicker huh...I guess your friend has no idea what he is talking about....also what they mentioned that is a correct time stock...

And you also know the Jspec are DOHC...ummm they are all DOHC for the 1g's until you hit the 2g NON turbo then they are SOHC..hmm let see here...

Aslo there are some people that have run a 14.6 or so...AWD

Also have to add..even though you ran about a 14.4 doesn't mean everyt ime you race you will get the same time on the street or track..also what you mean bout 14.4..is that what you are guessing or what..

ok like i said i dunno im just tellin then motor is imported from japan... thats all i know but i cant say for myself what it is and honestly i dont care that much. but since i didnt know about it i decided to post.. i know my car can beat it though

Maybe your friend's got a Evo motor? They're like 280bhp right? So he's car is faster then a stock Talon.

Ok, our "Jspec" motors don't come from exlipses. They come from either evo's or galant vr-4's. The galant vr-4 engine has the 14b turbo and the normal 450 cc injectors, just like a 1g. The evo3 motors come the same way, except some had a 16g on them with the 510 cc injectors, then there are the automatic tranny engines with the 13g and 390cc injectors or 450's, I'm not really sure. So if your friend got a nice evo engine with the 510's and the 16g, then way to go. Check out this page here. These are the types of jspec engines you can get.
